Biography
Petar Yanakov (1878-1956) was a Bulgarian public figure from the Plovdiv-area village of Turkmen. He graduated from the agricultural school in Sadovo and was a member of the Bulgarian Agrarian National Union. During BANU rule he was elected to the District Permanent Commission in Plovdiv. From 31 October 1922 to 11 January 1923 he served as mayor of Plovdiv as chair of a three-member commission. The public biography is brief, but places him within the agrarian political current of the interwar period.
