Biography
Asen Kozhuharov (born in 1903 in Chirpan) was a Bulgarian veterinarian and public figure. He graduated in veterinary medicine and settled in Plovdiv, where he became director of the Veterinary Service. From 1937 he was on the editorial board of Plovdivski obshtinski vestnik, and in 1935-1940 he chaired the Bulgarian-Soviet Society in Plovdiv. After 9 September 1944 he served as mayor of Plovdiv from 9 September 1944 to 22 March 1945. Public biographical notes state that after his term, as a private merchant, he was held liable for black-market activity.
