Hristo Gruev Danov (1828-1911) was a Bulgarian Revival-era teacher, writer and founder of modern Bulgarian publishing, known as the Apostle of national education. In 1857, together with Yacho Truvchev and Nyagul Boyadzhiski, he created the first Bulgarian enterprise for publishing and distributing books, which grew into the Hristo G.
