Hristo Milev
Hristo Milev (1867-1943) was a Bulgarian public figure and National Liberal Party politician born in Shipka. He worked as an investigator and judge, later becoming secretary and district governor of Plovdiv Municipality. From 9 October to 3 December 1903 he chaired the three-member commission, then governed as mayor until 19 September 1905. After his term he was reappointed district governor of Stara Zagora. He authored The Killing of Hadzhi Dimitar's Detachment and Sketches from the Lives of the Insurgents and a Historical-Geographical Atlas of Bulgaria.
