Modern Plovdiv of the 20th century

socialist architecture, bridges and the fair city across the river

The city's other face: the 1950s grand hotel, the granite Alyosha above the rooftops, the covered pedestrian bridge and the fair that has pulled Plovdiv north across the Maritsa for over a century. A route of concrete, neon and wide boulevards.
