Hristo Mishev

Hristo Nikolov Mishev (1932-1989) was a public figure from Bratsigovo and a Bulgarian Communist Party cadre. He studied construction economics in Varna and, before becoming mayor, worked in Plovdiv structures for architecture, public works and capital construction. As mayor from 1979 to 1986 he is associated with late-socialist public works in the city, including boulevard reconstructions, projects around the Unification commemorations, development of the Trakia housing district and the reopening of the Ancient Theatre.
