Hills, parks & river · a full day
Kapana, parks and the Rowing Canal
creative district, green hills and west-side sport belt
The city's long green diagonal: from Kapana's lanes through Tzar Simeon Garden, up and over Bunardzhik and Dzhendem tepe, then down to the water at the Rowing Canal. For committed walkers with a free day.
The line and walking times are computed from OpenStreetMap and are approximate — terrain and street closures can change them.
When to go
A full-day route — leave before noon to catch sunset by the water.
Getting to the start
Start in Kapana — the breakfast spots open early and the quarter is a minute from Dzhumaya.
After the finish
From the canal, take a boulevard bus or taxi back; on foot the return adds another hour.

Good to know
- Water Shops are sparse between Tzar Simeon Garden and the canal — carry water for the hills.
- Terrain Dzhendem tepe's trails are rocky; in rain, skirt the hill along the boulevard.
The route runs over 8 kilometres with two hills — pace yourself and cut stops without guilt.
