A museum day for the rain
house museums, galleries and a 19th-century pharmacy
The bad-weather plan: eight interiors within footsteps of each other in the Old Town — the ethnographic museum, the painted houses, two galleries and the Hippocrates pharmacy museum. Short dashes outside, long stays inside.
The line and walking times are computed from OpenStreetMap and are approximate — terrain and street closures can change them.
When to go
A weekday morning — the fewest visitors in the narrow interiors.
Getting to the start
The history museum sits in the Old Town, a 10-minute climb from Dzhumaya square.
After the finish
From the Klianti house it is a 5-minute descent to Dzhumaya; in rain, taxis wait by the Central Post Office.

Good to know
- Terrain Wet cobbles are the slipperiest part of the route — step on the joints.
- Food Cafés are scarce inside the reserve — pick up coffee in Kapana on your way.
Museum closing days differ (often Monday or Tuesday) and each house tickets separately — check before setting out.
